Aircraft Communication Systems; an Essential Part of Every Aspect of the Aviation Industry

Aircraft Communication Systems Market

The aircraft communication system is an important means of communication between pilots and ground air traffic control (ATC), maintenance centers, command centers, or other stakeholders during flight. The system in aircraft is used for communication between the crew members and between crew members and ground personnel. In the mid-1980s, the use of communication systems became a reality. Traditional aircraft communications are based on either Very High Frequency (VHF) or High Frequency (HF) radio waves.

Aviation communication is the process by which two or more Aircraft Communication Systems with each other. Due to the design of aircraft, it is extremely difficult to see past what is directly in front of them. So, the aircraft communication system is vital in the event of a collision or emergency. In this way, a pilot can react to the situation and take appropriate measures to avoid that situation. When communicating with ATC, pilots should follow a set protocol. They should group related instructions together and limit the number of directives in each transmission.

Proper terminology helps to keep the conversation short and effective. It also helps to avoid misunderstandings and confusion. Learning the correct terminology can help pilots and ATC to work together in a safer environment. Aircraft are now being equipped with technologies that transport data via satellite while they are on the ground. Whereas, mobile communication technologies and broadband networks (in some cases) can receive and/or transmit strategic information about aircraft status and even maintenance trends.

Aviation communication is a crucial component pertaining to the successful functionality of aircraft movement both on the ground and in the air. Aircraft Communication Systems provide aircraft with flight command transmission, flight decision management capabilities, and flight status interaction. Increased communication help reduce the risk of an accident. It has been about forty years since the Federal Aviation Administration (US) required all aircraft operating in high-traffic areas to be equipped with two-way communication systems.
